Welcome to Lincoln Trail Elementary, a school within the North Spencer County School Corporation!  We serve students in Preschool through Grade 6.  Our website features the latest web and eLearning platform to provide students, parents, and teachers with the best tools for success.

Our mission statement outlines what we hope to accomplish each and every day with our students: Inspire, Challenge, Achieve, Nurture.  These are more than just words, they are the desired objectives of all learning and to these, we commit our resources.

We have some awesome news to share about our student’s academic achievements!
○ The 2022-2023 Grade 3 IREAD scores were recently released to the public. We are happy to announce that LT had a 100% pass rate!
○ Lincoln Trail Elementary is officially an i-Ready Super Stretch School! After a review of our i-Ready® Diagnostic data from this past school year, our school has achieved remarkable Stretch Growth®! This is no small feat, and everyone should be incredibly proud of the work the staff, students, and families have put in. Stretch Growth attainment puts students who placed below grade level on their first Diagnostic on a path to proficiency, and it helps students who placed on or above grade level maintain advanced proficiency levels. Lincoln Trail had 56% of their students reach their stretch growth! That means 56% of our students made more than a year’s worth of growth last year!



Summer is almost over and the start of school is just around the corner! A lot has happened since the kids were last at school. A lot of work has been completed and the school is looking terrific! Here is a quick rundown of all that has been renovated:
● new flooring throughout the entire school
● walls repaired and wallpapered or painted
● new cabinets and student lockers in all classrooms
● new serving line in the cafeteria
● new sound absorbing acoustic panels in the cafeteria
● all new playground for Preschool/Daycare
● all new interior doors with improvements for school safety

All registration forms and fees may be paid online through Harmony at
https://harmony.nspencer.k12.in.us/ltes.nsf/weblogin. The window to register will open the last week of July. You may use your login information from last year. If you have lost this information, please contact the school office for assistance. If you do not have access to a computer or you are a new enrollee for the 2023-2024 school year, please schedule an appointment to register. The office will be open daily from 8:00-3:00 starting July 26. Need a later appointment time, just call the office and let us know! We can be reached at (812) 937-2400 Option 5.

New for 2023-2024: Parents are no longer responsible for textbook fees! The state of Indiana is now funding this for schools, like most other states. Our PTO is providing all school supplies again, so it is our hope that “back to school” time is not a financial burden to families! All you need to do is purchase a backpack and a new set of earbuds/headphones. If you need help with this, please reach out to Mrs.Nix ([email protected]) and we can help with that as well!
